"I recently added this probiotic to my lactobifidus regime. My digestion has definitely increased, my elimination is more frequent. Not by leaps and bounds, but it’s improved. I will combine this with a Saccharomyces boulardii product for the full probiotic protocol."

The diet can be a great source of probiotics if you are eating a lot of cultured and fermented foods. A challenge with getting probiotics from the diet is that it is difficult to get the same dose used in research studies. Probiotic supplementation allows for a consistent therapeutic dose.
Researchers have found that probiotics are typically safe and beneficial for children [29]. Of course, you can consult your child’s pediatrician, who can take their health history and individual needs into account before introducing a probiotic.
Soil-based probiotics can be taken with or without food. Do what’s easiest for you.
Clinical trials have documented improvements in depression and anxiety after probiotic supplementation [30].
Several studies show that probiotics can help with overall sleep quality [31 32], but more research is needed to confirm their effects on specific sleep issues.
Preliminary evidence shows female hormone function is tied to the health of the gut microbiome [33]. For example, probiotics may improve inflammatory and hormonal markers in women with PCOS [34].
In my clinic, patients with female hormone conditions have very good results when prescribed probiotics and an herbal blend to balance female hormones.
The direct connection between probiotics and weight loss is not strong, but high-quality evidence suggests that probiotics may offer modest effects on fat loss [35 36].
Brain fog isn’t usually studied in isolation, but we can make some inferences from studies in which probiotics have improved cognition. In these studies, probiotics have improved cognitive function for patients with Alzheimer’s [37] and mild cognitive decline [38], as well as stressed adults [39].
A meta-analysis of 28 randomized controlled trials concluded that probiotics can improve seasonal allergy symptoms [40]. Another meta-analysis of 12 clinical trials found that probiotics can improve symptoms of lactose intolerance [41].
The research is mixed as to whether probiotics alone improve thyroid function. Two meta-analyses found no significant effects on thyroid function after supplementing with probiotics [42], but a stand-alone randomized controlled trial found that a synbiotic—probiotics plus prebiotics—may help improve thyroid function [43].

For some people, starting with fewer strains is easier when introducing probiotics. Some may find relief from introducing just one category of probiotics—like a Lactobacillus/Bifidobacterium blend—before adding a second (perhaps Saccharomyces boulardii) and third (soil-based).
If you are familiar with soil-based probiotics and want to use a more robust array of strains, our 3-strain formulation with all three of those categories is a great choice as well.
Both our Soil-Based Probiotic and Triple Therapy products contain verifiable strains with clinical efficacy.

A blend of 12 probiotic species so you don't miss a single health benefit.
